Opening of places of worship, schools and airports contributed to the increase in Covid-19 cases – Buss Mustapha

Chairman of the presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha has explained that reopening of schools, religious centres and airport without proper adherence to safety protocols contributed to the rise in covid-19 causes in the country.

He stated the factors that led to the increase in new COVID-19 cases, in a media briefing in Abuja on Monday January 11th.

Mustapha said; “It is, however, very instructive to stress that factors that have contributed to rise in numbers from late November 2020 included increased local and international travels, business and religious activities, reopening of schools without strict compliance with COVID-19 safety measures.”
